hey y’all! As requested by (96% of u to be exact 😉) here are my OWN tips & tricks for PHOTOGRAPHY beginners / even people who use your phone for insta! I have been practicing photography for a good 6 + years now. It started as a hobby and has PROUDLY grown into a business. (God Bless) Creativity is my FIERCEST fuel (I’ve said that 10000s of times) photography is the LOML so i figured since we are all in quarantine, what better time to share / soak in all of the knowledge. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

️⃣ I shoot with a NIKON D5100 (YOUR BODY IS NOT IMPORTANT) my body is from 2005, YES 2005.

️⃣ MY LENS: (YOUR LENS IS KEY / V IMPORTANT) I currently shoot with a SIGMA 18-35 mm f 1.8 (BEST investment ever) 💜 my OG LENS: nikon lens af - s 55- 200 mm 1/4- 5.6 you DO NOT need to spend on expensive things, you can get PREOWNED OK.

️⃣ BRANDS: Nikon VS Canon, guess what? It DOES NOT MATTER. It is your preference at the end of the day. I learned on NIKON but I have also shot with #Canon and love both. I’ve shot with #Sony too (if you have the money to blow, SURE)

️⃣ LIGHTING IS KEY. Lighting plays such a huge roll in photography like I cannot stress this enough.. I was taught to always shoot first thing in the morning or in the evening (sunrise / sunset = GOLDEN HOUR)

️⃣ ANGLES BRO. Get in close, zoom decreases your photo quality, but your feet do not. (Unless you have a special lens like my OG lens) (CHECK FOR EVEN LIGHTING) tbh, if you have an “eye photography” and you know it, you’re pretty much set. If you don’t, PRACTICE every single day.

️⃣ For action shots (ooof we will go over this another day)

️⃣ EDITING APPS I LOVE & USE: @lightroom @bytezza @facetune on the occasion @googlesnapseed also, pro tip: Shoot in the “RAW” = less editing time. ⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️ And that is a wrap! So to sum it all up: PHOTOGRAPHY IS ALL ABOUT LIGHT 💡, Your lens MATTERS, brand is preference, shoot in GOLDEN hour, also by shooting in “raw” = less editing time. Invest in @lightroom its GREAT. Find your angles. LASTLY DISSECT YOUR CAMERA. Study it, inside and out. I hope this helps! HAPPY LEARNING.💕
